Silver & Gold: Generating Wealth

I am creating an exhibit on generating wealth.

Floating Capitol

Activating Electromagnet causes bill to hover, magnets make it dance. A sort of perpetual motion if you will.

To try and bring some awareness about how hard if not impossible it is to be an artist….
-I have built a machine that crushes coal with immense pressure. In 10,000 years it will create a diamond.
-I am alchemically creating gold from lead and electrical jolts.
-Mining gold from old computers. Building an island in the San Francisco Bay and claiming it.
-I have built a machine that slowly stretches a dollar bill.
And addressing artists survival issues.

We Mined Gold from old Computers.

Gold Mining from Computers
This phallic shaped nugget weighs 20.3 grams, which makes it worth $819.39 on March 26, 2017.

This was harvested from computer CPUs have gold and plating on its pins and gold wires inside them.
RAMs have gold plating on its fingers which are mounted on RAMs.
In motherboards there is gold plating on different types of socket pins. There are BGA, QFP and PLCC chips mounted on motherboards, they all have gold in them. To extract the gold Nitric process or CN process can be used to remove g¢old from gold plated/polished pins and connectors. From CPUs we can recover gold through aqua regia.
Pyrolysis and hydrometallurgy are used for gold recovery from computer chips. For gold recovery from motherboards CN process, aqua regia, nitric process, pyrolysis & hydrometallurgy can be used. Electronic chips used in computers have gold. Burn them in an iron pot with zero pollution (smoke can be dissolved in chemical solutions). Then grind them into fine powder. This fine powder containing ash, gold, silver, copper, nickel etc. will be now melted using 3 chemicals including borax. After melting it you will get solid mixed metals gold, silver, copper, nickel etc. We then separated the gold out using black arts, magik and special processes we have developed.

A Diamond Creation Machine

The infinity gear ration in the chain drive system creates an inordinate amount of pressure on the pile of coal. After 10,000 years the small amount of coal turns into a diamond.
Experimenting with the fundamentals of the universe.

When watching the above video, look closely at the spinning chain drive at the bottom, the drives progressively move slower yet stronger as they reach the top.

How commerce and wealth are created.
My fascination with “breaking the bank” as Marcel put it, or art and economics, The analogy between art and gambling.
Experiments with the laws of chance. Like grant writing.
Pyramid Schemes.
Retirement schemes.

Wealth is created through using labor and/or capital to make things, or provide/perform services, that other people find valuable. … Lately, it isn’t necessary to create a tangible product in order to create wealth.

ALCHEMICAL PROCESSES.

+

Historically, magnum opus (Latin for ‘great work’) was an alchemical process that incorporated a personal, spiritual and chemical method for creating the Philosopher’s Stone, a mysterious red coloured substance that was capable of transmuting base matter into the noble metal of gold. Discovering the principles of the Philosopher’s Stone was one of the defining and at the same time seemingly unattainable objectives of western alchemy.

Is there a model here for artists survival?
The failures of Capitalism and Wall Street for the 99%.
I am intrigued with greed, the “economy”, the environmental impact of capitalism,
Income and wealth inequality and disparity.

To walk in money through the night crowd,
protected by money, lulled by money, dulled by money,
the crowd itself a money, the breath money,
no least single object anywhere that is not money, money, money
everywhere and still not enough, and then no money
or a little money or less money or more money, but money, always money,
and if you have money or you don’t have money
it is the money that counts and money makes money,
but what makes money make money?
– Henry Miller, Tropic of Capricorn (1939)
